Budget, Clean, and Convenient Long and Short Term Room Choices in Pattaya

Membership site now open! Check it out here.

When visiting Pattaya sometimes it's hard to find a good, clean guest houses that are reasonable, especially if you are going to stay for a while. They all get beat very quick due to the volume of people they move through and seem not to get much maintenance work done. Some guests aren't the type that care about leaving the place as good as they found it either. Here are a couple places to consider. I have stayed at both and would stay there again when I go back for sure. For more photos, info and a map, go to www.MapsNMore.com.

Chiang Mai - Very Affordable Lanna Style Apartment with Swimming Pool

Membership site now open! Check it out here.

NOTE: This business is having management issues. So for now it is closed.

Every so often as I travel around I find something I think is either a good value or something that reminds me why I like living in Thailand. The Thai Lanna culture is one of those things I appreciate. I also love the use of water landscapes and tropical plants. Living around these things makes me feel good and if I can have them around me without spending an arm and a leg that's a bonus. I stumbled across a new apartment building just getting ready to open and it met all this criteria so I wanted to share it with you. For more info and a map check it out here.

Chiang Mai, Thailand -- Lanna Style Serviced Apartmemnt Costs

Membership site now open! Check it out here.
One of my members wanted to have this place checked out. So here goes. Viangbua Mansion is great for anybody on a category 2 or category 3 budget to stay in. It fits the amount on my Retirement Budget Calculator says you can afford to pay. I must say, this is a really nice place. It's not the cheapest, but for the money I think it is very nice. It also has great, cheap food in its restaurant and a helpful and happy staff. Check out the video of this hotel a short walk from the old city.

Cost of Rental Chiang Mai - Small Furnished Studio Apartment $170 a Month

Membership site now open! Check it out here.
Say you have a monthly income of only about $500 a month. You have in the calculations in our Retirement Budget Calculator on our website that gives you about 5000 Baht to spend every month on rent. But if you could get a furnished place to stay for only $170 a month (3700 Baht) then you are way ahead of the game and have more money to spend on other things. Hmmm..... can you think of anything?!  Anyway, check out this little furnished studio apartment and compare it to something back home for that amount. Opps, forgot, you can't! If you are interested in renting this contact me through my You Tube channel or at my website www.RetireCheap.Asia

Living the Good Life Outside of Pattaya - Cost of Apartments Jomtien and Naklua Beaches

Membership site now open: http://retirecheap.tv/members
I think many of people are kind of embarrassed when meeting strangers or telling relatives about living in or around Pattaya. But there are some very nice places around Pattaya that aren't like living in a blender on high speed like it is in Pattaya.
Naklua
Naklua, situated north of Pattaya, is still very much the old fishing village, with traditional wooden houses and of minor touristic significance except for its famous weekend market.
Now there are some nice hotels and guest houses that can be found there.
What many tourists wrongly denote as Naklua, is actually just the northern part of Pattaya along Pattaya-Naklua Road (northern extension of Pattaya 2nd road, north of the Dolphin Roundabout), which actually merges with Naklua.
Jomtien
Most tourist brochures describe Jomtien - with its six-kilometer-long stretch of sandy beach, as a kind of Pattaya's little brother, with a bit less of everything that might be "over-the-top" in Pattaya: less nightlife, less noise, less traffic etc. Although Jomtien Beach, which has become popular especially with family vacationers and Thai tourists from Bangkok, doesn't really resemble what tourists might expect from a tropical beach, Jomtien offers a much more relaxed environment for swimming, sunbathing, and enjoying various beach activities, than Pattaya's over crowded main beach. The nightlife at Jomtien is much more relaxed and laid-back.

Chiang Mai -635 Sq. Ft Apt. Overlooking Mountains $275

I get a lot of requests for more accommodations so here is another one. This is a larger room which is more comfortable while staying in Thailand for a longer period of time. This apartment building overlooks the mountains of Chiang Mai. It is about ten minutes from the old city, not far from Chiang Mai University. The price of $275 if the room is prepaid for 12 months. Month by month it would be $315 a month. I asked the management to add it to http://MapsNMore.com and I will make sure it is on the map there.

My Girlfriend's Not A Dog......

People are saying , "JC, you are a dog. Living the good life in one of the best places to retire. Good food, cheap rent, cheap travel and beautiful women." I am not sure I agree .... about being a dog!
Just recently got divorced and now my friends are saying my new girlfriend's a dog too. I woke up today sitting across the table from her thinking, maybe they're right. Come on. Tell me what you think. Are they right?
