Medical Care -- Is it Still Affordable in Thailand?

Membership site now open! Check it out here.

In one of my videos on You Tube I mentioned the cost of a medical procedure. Some viewers are saying it isn't cheap any more to get medical attention especially at hospitals that are now catering to medical tourism. Well, I was in Pattaya recently and needed to see a doctor and maybe get some medicine. Let's see what the costs were at a 5 star hospital.

Chiang Mai - Very Affordable Lanna Style Apartment with Swimming Pool

Membership site now open! Check it out here.

NOTE: This business is having management issues. So for now it is closed.

Every so often as I travel around I find something I think is either a good value or something that reminds me why I like living in Thailand. The Thai Lanna culture is one of those things I appreciate. I also love the use of water landscapes and tropical plants. Living around these things makes me feel good and if I can have them around me without spending an arm and a leg that's a bonus. I stumbled across a new apartment building just getting ready to open and it met all this criteria so I wanted to share it with you. For more info and a map check it out here.

Cost of Stroke and Physical Rehabilitation in Thailand

Membership site now open! Check it out here.

Many people now are considering becoming an expat and living in another country. When considering such a move questions come up regarding what  happens when there is some kind of medical crisis.

Strokes are the third largest cause of death both in the USA and in Thailand. So what would someone's options be after they had a stroke? Would rehab be affordable and what would someone get for their money. Watch and find out.

The facility shown in the video is the Thung Bo Paen Paralysis Rehabilitation Clinic. More information including a map can be found at http://mapsnmore.com. If you go though you will need to probably need an interpreter to go with you.

Chiang Mai, Thailand -- Lanna Style Serviced Apartmemnt Costs

Membership site now open! Check it out here.
One of my members wanted to have this place checked out. So here goes. Viangbua Mansion is great for anybody on a category 2 or category 3 budget to stay in. It fits the amount on my Retirement Budget Calculator says you can afford to pay. I must say, this is a really nice place. It's not the cheapest, but for the money I think it is very nice. It also has great, cheap food in its restaurant and a helpful and happy staff. Check out the video of this hotel a short walk from the old city.

Things to Do in Chiang Mai - Royal Flora Exhibition

Membership site now open: http://retirecheap.tv/members   When living in Thailand there are always events and gatherings to go to because Thai culture is very sociable. Many events will have the same food, products or music every time. But not the Royal Flora Horticultural Exhibition. The last time I attended this event was back in 2006. This exhibition is a tribute to a hard working King. For decades since his ascension to the throne, no terrain has been insurmountable or remote for His Majesty who visited villages in all corners of the Kingdom to learn first-hand the problems and challenges the Thai people were facing.
Over the years the King initiated more than 2,000 development and agricultural projects aimed at alleviating the hardships of the rural poor throughout the Kingdom. His Majesty coined the term "sufficiency economy" based on his philosophy of self-reliance through the rational use of environmental and natural resources and the use of simple and effective techniques which the Thai people can adopt in their daily lives.
For his role in the advancement of Thai agriculture, the Royal Flora Ratchaphruek 2006 was conceived as a tribute to His Majesty. Here is a look at the 2011 event.
